About the Journal
The electronic publication Acreditas is an independent quarterly journal, edited in Mexico with first edition in November 2019, open access, non-profit, refereed, with ISSN and indexed and cataloged by: Crossref, Dialnet, Google Académico, Latindex, REBIUN, ROAD and The Keepers, as well as being disseminated on its page www.acreditas.com and through the Issuu platform. The journal has an Ibero-American focus, where it disseminates and promotes the culture of quality in higher education through the publication of results of studies or processes with the intention of providing new knowledge and the application of innovative methods in the context of self-evaluation, accreditation, good practices and success stories in educational quality and continuous improvement in the different academic areas of knowledge. Additionally, Acreditas magazine offers its readers a section of dialogues, with distinguished personalities who share their point of view and experience in the governance and management of relevant Higher Education Institutions, accreditation bodies and professional associations.
The magazine's publications are available to readers free of charge and open without delay, without registration or payment.
Reader audience: Aimed at professionals, researchers, teachers, educators, students (national and foreign), with interests in the educational, academic and professional fields.
Frequency of publication: The Acreditas electronic publication is an independent quarterly journal, which respects the following publication periods: March-June, July-October and November-February.
Submission and publication languages: The journal accepts and publishes unpublished articles written in Spanish, although it also has the possibility of including those written in English, as long as the authors are native speakers of that language.
Journal system and management: Acreditas Magazine uses Open Journal Systems 3.3.0.15, an open source journal management software developed, powered and distributed free of charge by the Public Knowledge Project under a GNU General Public License.
OAI-PMH interoperability: Acreditas provides an OAI-PMH (Open Archives Initiative - Protocol for Metadata Harvesting) interface https://acreditas.com/index.php/acreditas/oai?verb=Identify that allows metadata to be transmitted via OAI-PMH in Dublin Core format.
